About the project

The objective of this project is to coordinate and connect all stakeholders involved in the integration of foreigners in the city of Tachov. The project supports cooperation between organizations working with foreigners (e.g., CPIC, Diakonie Západ, OPU, Diocesan Charity Pilsen, Kotec, etc.), collaboration between the local government and authorities, and ensures communication with schools educating children with a different mother tongue.

The project helps foreigners better integrate into city life. It provides access to information regarding Czech language courses for adults, tutoring options for children, leisure activities, and important legislative changes. Information is shared through commonly used communication channels, specifically in the Ukrainian language.

Furthermore, the project encourages the active involvement of foreigners in community life, primarily through the establishment of self-help groups for ethnic minorities. Regular meetings of integration stakeholders are held, and the target group is reached in cooperation with community workers.

The project offers Czech language courses, conversation classes, and integration courses that assist foreigners in navigating daily life, communicating with authorities, and entering the labor market.

The project is funded by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, UNHCR, and the City of Tachov.
